Re: wax

Sarge

Thanks for the advice. I have tried rain-x before and, maybe I just did not
apply it correctly, but it created a greasy smear all over my windshield
that I could not get off. My windshield wipers became useless because they
got gummed up with this grease. The same thing happened to another friend
of mine on his jeep. About the tint, I will just wash it with glass
cleaner.

Peter,

I don't know why you don't just use Rain-X. It lasts longer and is
specially
designed for glass. I've used it for years. THe only trick is applying it
right: let it dry, then wipe the window with a soaking wet rag, then a dry
rag. Clean the inside with glass cleaner - you don't need the water to bead
on
the inside, do you? Check with the tint manufacturer as to an appropriate
cleaner: the wrong chemicals will turn some brands of tint from black to
purple over time.
