RE: Shocks-Bilstein HD vs. Boge turbogas
I just did Boge Turbogas. My mechanic and I were talking about them this
morning. Very nice, approaching firm, but very tractable on the
street/highway. These aren't what I would call hi-perf. shocks. The
Bilsteins handle better, but there is a trade-off in stiffness. I put the
Boge TG's in 'cause my wife and I drive my car almost exclusively when
together (and I want to keep it that way). If I put in Bilsteins, we would
drive the Honda exclusively when together. Since the change, I'm very happy
with the handling. Sure, I could put in lowering springs and Bilsteins and
the handling would probably be terrific, but it would probably detract from
what I'm trying to do with the car. My car is not a track car, it is a
freeway flyer. If I didn't have the Wife(tm) however...
