first, not to mock your plight, I must ask, why did you have to remove
the seat belt rettractors again?  I have removed numerous 80-86 4k and
coupe seatbacks and I haven't had to mess with the seat belts, other
than to tuck them out of the way.  Am I missing something here?

second, if you decide you are truly "screwed" I must have a few of those
seat belts around here, on or off cars.  Let me know if you need 'em and
I'll try to make sure they don't retract all the way when sending them.

They still shouldn't be locked up, though.  Try getting the inertia lock
to release by shaking them around in different orientations, and by
pulling very slowly...
