I really savoured the moment that the 328i driver (who'd spun and rolled
his car trying to follow me through the twisties) said: "I wasn't going
so fast - you were pulling away from me."
"Yeah - but that's a quattro."
Golden opportunity. Thomas (my son, who was with me at the time) and
I have been wondering ever since: his BMW is a write-off - will he buy
a quattro?
