Silicone

Gross, and the list. We went through this on the 20v list. I went so far
as to obtain a copy of the VW/Audi TSB. Silicon itself, not the acetic
acid vapor, attacks and coats the operating surfaces of the O2 sensor,
causing a reduction in it's ability to function. The terrorist bomb that
went off in the garbage truck that is my desktop prevents me from
putting my hands on the copy of the bulletin, but, trust me, that's what
it says. The TSB specifically prohibits the use of sprays and lubricants
in and around the induction system and engine, and I take by inference
the use of sealants. When I find it, I'll scan it in and post it.
Thanks, John
