Actually, two kinks.  They added two chicanes (Chicane Nissan and Chicane
Carte S) that broke up the Mulsanne into three segments, each can still be
driven at 180+ mph in a Le Mans race...

There is a good article about the Le Mans course in the Nov 1998 European
Car mag "A Lap with a Champion".
