Re: Yet another strange Quattro QUIRK!!!

O.K. This has probably been discussed a million times but there is my
question to the rhizome of knowledge: When I bought my '87 4kcsq in July
(90 000 miles on the odo), the shop I brought it to for inspection and
estimate of the needed repairs told me it needed new control arm bushings.
Since then I tried to price this service and found out they always ask me
if I need the upper or the lower ones replaced. So which are the ones to
generally go bad first, or the replacement of which will most probably be
felt immediately. Can anyone rate the experience percentigewise? Do I
need both pairs replaced? Do I need the rear ones done too at the same
time?

All input greatly appreciated.

Raffi
