Seat heater dash lights out
Before I go (this reflector has *way* too much traffic for me), I'd like to
ask one more question:
After the dealer replaced the A/C condenser in my '93 90 Quattro, I noticed
that the back lights for the two seat heater switches were out. Since both
lights are out, I thought it might be a blown fuse, but that hardly seems
possible since nothing else is out. Besides, there's no separate listing for
these lights in the fuse list. They are in the same circuit as the other
back lights on the adjacent switches, right?
In solving my air recirculation problem, I noticed that the switches are
accessible when you remove the glove box. I popped one out and unplugged it.
It seems to be a rather self-contained unit, and I couldn't immediately see
where the light bulb is. I didn't have time to mess around with it or check
the voltages to the assembly.
Does anyone know if the switch can be disassembled to get at the bulbs? If
so, does anyone know the part number for the bulbs? Does the entire switch
assembly have to be replaced? (Please say it isn't so!)
