94 90q owners - wheels?

Hi,

Another wheel question....  I'm hoping some fellow 94 (93/95?) 90Q
owners can help.

I'm buying a set of winter rims off a fellow lister, and just noticed
that they're 15x6.  My stock wheels are the 5 spokes made by Ronal
and are stamped with 7Jx15H2 ET37.  I'm assuming this means 15" wheel, 
7" wide.  Does the ET37 mean 37 mm offset????    

Does anyone know if the 6" wheel will fit?  They're apparently for
a CQ (bolt patterns correct, 37mm offset, etc...)  But I'm concerned 
that being narrower they may not clear the front calipers (already
looks a bit tight).

Is there a FAQ which explains how to decode wheel sizes?  Is
there any logic to this at all???
