High Oil Pressure at Idle

My oil pressure guage was almost pegged this morning at a mere idle. It was
one of the coldest mornings so far since I bought my 86 4KS. Am assuming this
is caused by the colder, thicker oil developing a higher pressure until oil
temp rose to normal . When the oil warmed up the prssure also dropped to
normal. Just checking with you guys to make sure I am not making false
assumptions.
