1994 S4 - Door seals, a/c cut out

I have a 1994 S4 and I notice that at speeds over 120 the wind noise
increases to such an extent that it sounds as if the front doors are
open.  It seems to me that this is caused by shrinkage at the top
corner of the door seal where it meets with the central pillar.  Does
anyone else have this problem?  Will new door seals sort it out or is
it just an Audi complaint?

Another annoying thing is that the a/c cuts out when the outside
temperature drops below 5 degrees centigrade.  Is there a good reason
for this?  Is there a way to stop it happening because it causes the
windows to start steaming up when the car is full of people.
