Window switch removal: 4kq

quick question-

on my 87 4kq, when doing some re-wiring of the mirrors and power locks
(both returned to working state now, thankyouverymuch)-- i wanted to
replace the window switches in the center console as the switches for the
rear windows do not work.

so, how the heck do I get these things out?

OH, for other 4kq owners, the kick plates down in the side of the footwell
_do_ come out .. just need to lift the carpet a little and expose that
screw!  yippie!  finally, stereo wires can go where they should.
