oil additive

so the prolong ads show cars running without oil and claim thats its the
result of their product....well way back in the 'seventies my wife picked up
her chebby van at a service centre following a "supposed" oil change and
then drove it ten miles home. upon her arrival she announced that it sounded
worse than before (this van also had an oil pressure guage....buts thats
another story) i checked and found _no_oil. they had emptied it but not
refilled it...the 5 quarts were still on the garage floor unopened. the oil
change kid came by, filled it up and we drove it for another 30,000
miles....so who needs anything else? btw do not try this ymmv. 
        i have since done all my own oil changes and my audi gets mobil 1
15/50 every 5000 km.
