Spider bite is a hypothetical Torsen phenomenon, not yet observed on the
ur-quattro despite many attempts.

If the car in your pictures has an English numberplate that begins "EBH"
it's quite possible that the magazine is highly negotiable. Most of the
articles written around that time were illustrated with pictures of EBH.

The car was renovated several years ago, and then fell among bad company.
I spent much of last Saturday going over its engine bay, and it seems to
be 100% healthy. The door sills need replacement, but the necessary
parts to do the rest of the work seem to be emerging from the woods as
we speak. A complete set of pristine Fuchs alloys turned up last week.
The interior is in reasonable order.
