Mechanic's Email Needed

Hi,
Well, my V8Q that should have been done months ago is finally going
to be done next week--yeech. The first head supplier has vanished never
to be heard from again. The new head supplier (unnamed because I like
them) had really bad luck. The first time UPS dropped both heads and
the journal caps on the right one were broken, so these good people sent
out a new head the following day. Only this time the new head arrived
without journal caps. Upon returning it once again, a pristine head
arrived at the mechanic only this time it was the left head. Now finally,
a new right head has arrived and i should have my car by next week.
The lawsuit in which I'm suing the mechanic that did a bad job on the
timing belt is coming up next week. I sued him on the strength of
information that came from the dealer's mechanic and from you guys. There
was huge consensus that if the cam key broke it must have been because the
timing belt wasn't torqued correctly the 10,000 miles prior to its demise.
When I told the mechanic that EVERYBODY said it was his fault he refused
to do anything saying that it was like a lug nut coming loose. He said it
could have happened no matter what he did. So now, while I might have left
him off just for the $1200 he charged to do the belt, I'm now suing him
for the $1200 plus the price of the new repairs.
I have a letter from the Audi dealer's mechanic, but it would be really
useful, particularly for people who are legally insulated by being far
from MPLS-ST Paul to send me an email confirming that the bad belt repair
most likely resulted in my engine's demise. Smitty sent me a really good
explanation, but given his email i suspect he's more of a computer guy
than a mechanic. Anybody who makes a living as a mechanic will do I guess
as an "expert".
Best,
Larry
