Re: 5ktq...batt keeps dying!

I severely doubt it. A beefier battery will not Force more current
through those wires. The electronics only take what they need. WHere you
run into problems in when the electronics take more than the wire can
give. Just like a piece of wook can only take so much weight before it
breaks, wire can only take so much current before it melts. (Come now, I
have seen you web page. You MUST know all this with the gizmos you have
in you room. Roland Synths, YAmah EQ's, Crown and Mackie amps.)
Anyhow, Battery will just give more power to those units that can
draw more. Like your starter or lights with 10 gauge cable. ANd that 500
watt amp in the trunk that draws 30 amps peak. With all that stuff going
it is alot of demand on Battery and Alternator but witha big battery it
can withstand more draw without losing power. Then Alternator can catch up
later when lights are on low and Stereo is off. Of cours this does no
good if you run everything at once all the time but helps in most
instances. If your extra electronics are wired properly, Seperately from
the weak Audi harness, you will be fine.
This post make any sense? Hope so.
