100 octane Sunoco, was Fuel Octane for 86 4KS

Sunoco has a program of distributing 100 octane fuel through select gas
stations.  Dial 1-800-RACEGAS for info.  In deference to non-US and west
coasters (all the stations are NE, Mid-Atlantic), I won't post entire list
but email me if interested.  I dialed the number and was told they also have
a website "racefuel" but the name came up as registered but not active.

Question:  can a 3B benefit from higher octanes, or is there a limit to how
far it will advance parameters in the absence of knock?  I know there is a
"learning curve" that limits any benefit from occurring all at once.
