Hi QList,
In an effort to further my understanding of this "Zurtle" situation, I 
fired off an e-mail to Zymol and here is their response. I apologize
in advance for the bad formatting, this is the way I received it. They 
don't seem to realize how bad this stuff looks on normal software.

   David,

    As you are aware Zymöl® is fast becoming the choice of anyone who really cars about their car(s). 

    And you are painfully aware that Zymöl® is not readily available.

    In 1994 Turtle wax did try to buy us. Having invested almost 20 years of my life creating, testing, re-testing, packaging, marketing and supporting Zymöl® products I decided selling was NOT in my vocabulary.

During the next year (1995) I decided that Zymöl® was MIA in a major segment of the automotive market, specifically Sport Utility Vehicles and Light Trucks. My choice was either go head-to-head with the major wax suppliers or develop a marketing relationship with one. I realized that the only way I could effectively reach that market was to hire the services of the market leader (share & distribution) Turtle Wax.

My agreement with Turtle is simple. Turtle sells our SUV line to the automotive chains and some limited mass merchandisers. We use their reps any pay a commission.

We manufacture the products. We have facilities in North Branford, CT., Sayville, NY., Chicago, IL. and soon Monterey, CA. (I'll probably only visit the California Plant in January!)

The rumors you hear are the creation of companies who either wish they could -or- simply can't compete with Zymöl®.

I hope this clears up any confusion.
