Sorry, no such animal in the U.S.  The A4 1.8Ts arrived here for
the 97 model year.

Hehehe :) It really doesn't have to be that bad...
With possible exception of certain type 44 cars, a well cared
for Audi won't require as much expensive repairs as would one that
has had a hard life.
