And take the chapter that starts with a superb glossy picture of a
'prepared' MB cylinder head with a pretty big pinch of salt.  Despite
what the book says, we're still trying to get the #@&$er to run to
redline.

Indeed, copious pinches of salt are required throughout.  Anyone who
has wrenched one of these things for more than a year will be
disappointed by the book.  It's simplistic, and occasionally just flat
wrong.
