How do I put an A4Q on jack stands?

This seems to be impossible.

I'd like to use a floor jack to raise one end of my A4 at a time.
Unfortunately, Audi heavily recommends against using any lift points other
than those specified in the manual.  In the front, there are two lift
points per side so I have a fighting chance.  In back, it's impossible
since there's only 1 lift point per side. 

It seems to be a no-no to lift by the rear diff.  Any thoughts from the
old-timers?
