Audi TT coupe:

We have begun building the Audi TT coupe for the USA. The first 100
cars are the Neiman-Marcus edition specials. An additional launch
volume of 450 cars will be built during the Jan-Feb production schedule.

Using the same process I described above (not avail...I don't have the
first page), we have long ago forecasted our needs for this lauch volume
with Audi AG. We have begun to order directly all of the first 550 cars
according to that plan. Along with the allocation your AE will be
provided with a listing of the TTs that have been ordered under your
dealer code. The second attachment shows the ordering plan for the
first group of TT coupes (again N/A).

As with all new models, dealer allocations will be based on a straight
BPO share of national formula for the first 150 days of production.
Therefore, you will receive your share of the first 550 cars on this
basis. Remember, by contract, the Neiman-Marcus special edition cars do
count in your allocation.

After these first 550 cars are scheduled, the Audi TT coupe orders for
subsequent allocations will be configured through regular dealer based
ordering.

Other Production News you need to know

-Audi A4 Avant quattro automatic production begins week 7/99. In order
to catch up on the back orders, Audi will build at least 80% of the
weekly orders for the A4 Avants in this configuration.

-Your next allocation for dealer orders of A4, A6 and A8 will be
released next week. The A4 allocation represents production weeks
1-8/99, A6 and A8 represents weeks 1-4/99.

-Peral Metallic is back in production on a very restricted basis only
for A6 and A8 models...ask your AE or OSS (Love use use of THAT
acronym!) for details.

During the next three months (Nov-Jan), wholesale shipments will be very
high...averaging more than 5,000 units per month. In February and
March, we dip into only about 4,000 units per month as we experiene the
GP transition.

We are receiving supplemental A4 shipments now which were ordered to
"bridge" the non-GP to GP transition period. We knew long ago the ramp
up to full production on the new model was going to take time and we
ordered extra non-GP cars to fill our needs. Please use this
information in planning your own trading and grossing strategies.

We recommend that you meet with your staff and inform them of these
future production plans so that you can optimize your new Audi car
business potential.

Sincerely,

(Don't want to give this out as it may show regional source)
