re RE: Keeping locks from freezing

Can, you adapt heated door locks to other Audi cars, like my
4kCSQ ? I would think that you might be able to - but just
wondering if there was any BTDT's?
I have retrofitted them to my 88 90q. but they were available for later
90qs. The item you need most is the lock assembly with the microswitch and
the heating resistor. An external resistor could be used and heat sunk to
your lock cylinder some way, but you would need a way to add a microswitch
to the lock so that when you pulled on the trigger, the heater would
actuate. In the 90q, and I suspect in the 200 with similar door handles,
lifting the handle actuates the microswitch.
