If there's a timing belt change and a complete brake and clutch flush
in there, he might not be so far out.

We have this curious dichotomy - if I took a car to BR Motorsport and
said: "Do everything that needs doing at 150000 miles," I'd expect to
pay $1000.  I'd also expect it to take two mechanics two days.

OTOH - the average dealer (IME) thinks of the number _first_, and then
tries to fill it with work.
