bugatti w18 info

i've just had a close look at the new w18 motor developed by vw/audi for the
new bugatti acquisition...

the motor has been developed in-house by vw for use in variuous top-end
projects.  hence the ready availability for the needs for the bugatti eb118.

the major notable point (apart from the one-upmanship inherent in having 18
cylinders) is that the motor is clearly designed for awd due to the (very
small) transfer case and front diff (to the right of the sump).  clearly
designed to keep the longitudional location of the motor (better crash
figures) with a more beneficial rearwards engine mounting...

is this a giveaway for future awd plans for audi?
