Re: 5KCSTQ: Plugs Issue
Thanks,
I'd be willing to bet that you are right. However, since the new stick
Bosch 'Silver's have been installed -- the car has no problems starting. I
no longer need to hot the gas pedal and hold it down to get it to run
properly.
However, the car does still 'hesitate' for a fraction of a second right
after the engine runs over and begins to run -- then it's fine. It has
always (since I've owned the car --1.5 yrs) -- had a slight 'issue' with
hard-starting.
Car runs fine immediately afterwards -- there is no hesitation at high RPMs
like you see with a bad fuel pump -- I get 1.3-1.4 bar and there doesn't
seem to be a 'leaky hose' problem -- and when I took the old (3 weeks old!)
plugs out -- they appeared to be completely normal.
Any idea how much an injection job would run for this car? What can I do
to determine whether or not it's the injection system? Also, the fuel pump
does buzz pretty loudly -- but that's normal. What about changing the fuel
pump filter -- will that change things?
TIA for all your collective input!
