S4 For Sale -- Should I Consider?

My apologies first if I've somehow inadvertently messed up the format
of this message, or otherwise done something inappropriate. I've
been on the sidelines silently reading the quattro-digest for about
two months, trying at absorb some knowledge. Which isn't easy for me,
despite how helpful everyone is, because I'm frankly an ignoramus
mechanically ("vehicularly challenged"?)

Anyway, I've been mulling over trading up. I now own an '87 5k tq.
Which I love, despite the fact that it's starting to show its age
(and, yes, quite possibly a bit of neglect by the former and even
present owner). I had been thinking about waiting until January, but
saw an S4 advertised in this weekend's paper, and wanted to know
whether it appeared to be a compelling enough bargain to consider
parting with some hard-earned savings ahead of schedule. After having
the car inspected somewhere, of course, first.

Here's the info (at least all I know):

1993 S4
original owner (coming off of lease, he says)
5 speed
75,000 miles (mostly highway from NJ to NY and DC, he says -
travelling salesman [at least he's not a lawyer])
"every available option including voice activated phone"
dark green with tan leather
always garaged
Serviced by Cherry Hill Audi (except for the only repair - a heater
door replaced by Fred Avery, whoever he is)
Service records on computer at Cherry Hill
I asked whether timing belt had been changed and he said it's a steel
belt and didn't have to be changed (so of course I felt foolish
immediately, again baring my ignorance)
"Sac. $19,500"

I would be grateful for any opinions. Including likely reliability -
since all maintenance and repairs would be performed by others, not by
me, cost of upkeep is of concern (but I am prepared to spend whatever
sums are reasonably necessary to keep the car in top condition)

Thanks,
