The wire is brown with a red stripe on it, runs out of the back of the
ignition switch.  This wire was on my '82 Scirocco and is on my '82 Rabbit
truck, '86 4kcsq  and '88 16v Scirocco.  Insert key into ignition switch and
the radio's power is switched on.
