Because of the fact that it is not a quattro and only an 89 with a 4cyl
I would junk it an look for a 4kq or an 80q trust me with the kind of
money you will spend fixing that 80 you could have a nice 4kq.
Transmissions are not cheap nor engines nor heater core repair labor.
Tranny= $700+
Engine= $500+
Heater Core = $200+
Now if you are taking this to a shop, plan on spending more.
Just shop around for a nice quattro trust me you will be glad you did.
I speak from owning 4 fwd Audi's and now have a quattro and glad I did!
