It can take up to 6 or so successful starts for the OBDII system to think
the car is ok - IME.
I had a problem with the coil pack on my OBDII GTI VR6, and it took a day's
driving (starts and stops) to get the check engine light to clear. It was
a damp, rainy day and I just had to clear all of the water out - silicone
spray is cool.
