I can understand your performance disappointment... I love my A4 1.8TQ  but
I have been looking for a larger car (needed for work) and as nice as the A6
is.... in no way does it compare to the 540's for performance (yes I know it
handles well.... but that is WAY TOO MUCH power for the Audi to overcome....
not to mention the 6 speed and sport package) ... but back on topic....
there is a supercharger kit for the 12 valve engine..... I can't remember
off the top of my head right now who does it.... but I will check though my
files when I have a chance... but if you love the A4 and want to go crazy
with modifications I would look into getting the 1.8t.......   Hope this
helps
