    If the motors work, the problem must be in the power feed to the
motors/clutches. Has he checked for power at the motors when he works the
mirror switch? He may have to trace the circuits back until he finds the
problem. Could be the switch, the power feed, the wiring where it enters the
door from the car body (it flexes a lot here). If both mirrors do not work,
the problem could be common to them both (switch, power feed to switch).
