Yes,there are bolts that hold inner timimg belt cover and
hold the oil pump housing as well. If you loose a bolt or forget
to tighten it, the oil will leak through the bolt hole and oil pump
housing gasket. BTDT when replaced the timing belt on my '86 5kcsT.
It's unlikely that it's the oil pump itself.Just take the outer timing
belt covers and check that all the bolts are there they should be.

Is there anything else that I could do? How much would this cost to
fix?
Do I have anything to lose by pulling the oil pump (I am all out of
ideas).
