If you are talking about the fluid returning through the top hose, it's
quite normal. That's why it's called a return hose. :)
But only when braking, right? If it returns when no brake application,
you've got a bad servo.
I wonder if somehow your pressure hose with the damper is clogged? I've
seen some pretty gucky (tm) stuff in them...
