Dan,
IMO, its hard conclude the 200tqw is too small and still be able to
consider the A4 avant as "possible". Unless adults #3 and 4 are smaller
than dogs #1 and 2. Tell those dogs to "Lie down!!!" :)

The A4 avant 30V 5spd I drove briefly last month sure packed some decent
low-end punch. But the rear seat legroom seemed very limited to me.

An S6 wagon would definitely be the class act of the bunch. Yeh, that's the
ticket...
