Clutch shudder

Is there any cure for clutch shudder, other than a new clutch disc?

The clutch is fairly new (~1.5 years old), but was doused in clutch
oil when I had problems with the tranny oil seal.  I believe that
the oil residue is now making the disc very grippy, causing it to
grab violently nearly all the time.  Having done 3 clutch jobs 
in the last 1.5 years, I am not anxious to do yet another.

Any ideas?  Any kind of solution I can douse the clutch in that
might help clean the residue off of it?
