[Q] Suspension Question
Hi all,
I am pretty desperate right now for some advice, would appreciate it
tremendously.
My old workhorse, 87 4kcsq, was suffering from fatigued shocks. So I bought
Boges struts for rear and had them put in, after I picked up the car, the
rear CV joint collapsed and I had to get it replaced. Once that was done, I
was driving the car back and it started to rain (minimal). Now the car
started Aquaplaning (especially the front) real bad. Worse then anything I
have ever driven.
I knew the front shocks and control arm bushings were bad. I bought new
front Boges and had them installed with new strut mounts and left the
bushings alone for a later time. No change, the car really drives like shit
when there is minimal water on the ground.
I am confused, are the control arm bushing's causing this? I have spend
around $800 on this car in the last two weeks, my tires look OK, still
substantial have tread left on them, Bridgestone RE930, had them installed
in 96'.
I am going to have the tires inspected today, but would like an opinion on
the importance of control arm bushings.
