Re: show me the money
I totally agree that this a amazing resource, but $50 to $100 sounds a
little steep for me. I know that some of the list members would be forced
to quit using the list at that price. It sounds like I am at about the
bottom of the pay scale for the list. I think a $20 membership fee would be
more in line and would allow everyone to participate regardless of income.

Subject: show me the money
Guess I should add, all disclaimers, no personal interest, financial
interest, etc. Now, to the point.
Over the past couple of years, I have gotten more than
my fair share of help from this list. It is truly an amazing resource.
What often gets overlooked, especially by me, is that someone has to run the
damned thing.
Dan has done a remarkable job. That he doesn't tell his wife how much time
he screws with this thing
makes me even more proud to know him:)
My point is this: Tell me when and where to send money. Who could possibly
argue this resource is not worth $50 or $100 per year? Seriously, the
questions I have usually get answered, by about 12 people, within minutes.
It is unreal.
On the tool loaning thing, I gotta agree with Euro Phil. Loaning tools is
like loaning money, and I have been burned doing both, sometimes by the same
person. So, be careful.
