Hmm. I've been considering this myself... I don't know all of the details,
but somehow I had gotten the impression that a euro conversion for these
later models was considerably more straight forward.

In particular, the lenses for the head lamps on these cars can be replaced
independently of the reflector/lamp assembly. It may be, however, that
replacing the lenses gives you only half the conversion...

I've also seen several posts which indicate that H1/H4 bulbs can be made to 
fit the existing sockets with a little grinding of the mounting flange.

...for what it's worth. I've been meaning to look into this and see what
it was all about...
