It may be different in the USA, but you can certainly insure a car here
for any value you care to name. Three photographs - back diagonal,
front from the other diagonal (both must show a legible number plate)
and an interior shot. Letter from a club officer certifying that simialr
cars have made similar prices in the last twelve months, some sort of
authority for the mileage (MoT Test Certificate?) and an indication of
the mileage you intend to cover.
If the insurance company thinks it's high risk, they'll insist on a
Thatcham-approved alarm and perhaps garaging.
Otherwise - no problem.
As I've said before, though - anyone who arranges such insurance and
claims Club Member discount _MUST_ inform the insurers if their club
membership lapses.
