Steering Damper & Shift Linkage Seal

Took my '91 Coupe quattro to the dealer yesterday to
just have the oil changed and to fix the driver's side
door lock and of course there's other stuff that needs
to be fixed.  They quoted me a price of $382 to fix
a leaking shift linkage seal and over $200 to replace
a leaking steering damper.  The parts are probably
5% of the cost, but damn do those prices sound 
right?  Does anyone know of a good independent
mechanic that knows Audis in the Washington D.C.
area?  And one that is cheaper than the dealer!!!
