Here's a common one: if the clutch cylinder gets replaced, the switch must 
be as well; same with brake cylinder.  They can't be re-used; once the 
switch is removed, it's destroyed.  I bet the previous mechanic ignored the 
Bently and reused the switch without telling anyone.  They're not very 
expensive.

Check the fuse for the CC system as well.  If push comes to shove, check if 
there's voltage going to the vacuum pump motor and/or hook up a vacuum 
gauge to the output.  The CC also relies on a signal from a sensor inside 
the speedometer in a wonderful Rube Goldberg fashion.
