Yes, you are correct, Mike.  Thanks for catching my mistake.  I
did indeed mean perpendicular to the direct of travel, rather than
parallel.  Cutting parallel to the direction of travel would not
make much sense at all...you would basically be cutting the inner lip
off in that case.
