Audi 5kq (as it should have been)

Wandered across this short paragraph from the February, 1984 issue of the
USA magazine Car & Driver:

"Maxi Quattro:  Rumors continue to fly that Audi is readying a killer
four-wheel-drive version of the 5000 sedan and that we'll see it within a
year.  Speculation runs high that the engine of choice will be the brawny
4.7-liter V8 from the Porsche 928.  With 300 or so horses on tap, top speed
could be upward of 155 mph in European trim.  Other possibilities are the
firm's latest 300-hp four-valve 2.1-liter turbo five-cylinder or even an
all-new six-cylinder turbo.  More as it happens."

Kinda depressing, considering how it really turned out...............SLM
