Not AFAIK. Some 1992 and early '93 V6s had oil pumps with porous castings
which eventually lead to pump failure, usually at cold-start. Almost all
of these got weeded out fairly early in life as the pumps failed (as
mind did in the low-20k mile range).

If you haven't had any troubles, there's no need to replace the pump.
