Will 225/50ZR16 on an 88 90Q?

Hey, my friend wants to get a 16x7 set of wheels, and since the tire rack 
has a special on sport 8000 225/50/16 for 91 bucks, he would like to do 
that.  The question is if there is enough clearance in the rear fenders 
to clear that.
