The head units are the same for the Bose & non-bose systems (AFAIK).
The speakers/amps are different however.  They also have different
placements & probably diff wiring harness (?).  In any case it is
the general opinion that the Bose system is not worth the trouble
of spitting on it.  So if you want to change, get some decent
aftermarket spkrs & an amp (for the rear spkrs at least).
