Cruise control

Thanks for the cruise control comments, guys.

Believe it or not, armed with this one piece of information we've been
able to supply the police with a VIN number for the car in question.

It looks like our application for a stay in execution of the destruction
order will be successful - we now know that the car was the subject of a
payout by Norwich Union Insurance and is thus rightfully their property.
The current 'owner' will now have to deal with them and see if they will
provide proper title in return for $$$.

The car is in a shocking state - 'project' does not begin to describe
it.  The 'pile of miscellaneous scrap' also stored in the same warehouse
will more than likely defy attempts to identify it, and is in any case
already the subject of a valid destruction order.  We may be able to
rescue parts from it (subject to negotiations with the owners) and we'll
keep you all informed on progress.  Could be an interesting project.
