Well, I finally got my "long enough" s/s line through GPR (via drop ship
supplier). Nathan at GPR was a big help, the drop shipper not so much.
When Nathan first requested what I actually needed, the drop shipper
told him I was wrong (I guess) and sent me another brake line too short
for the left side.

The four cars I have to look at (coupes, 82,82,84,85) all have unequal
rear brake lines, the reason is the right side is shorter because the
panhard rod mount is in the way. The fiche lists them as 170 mm and 220
mm, it took me a while to get one long enough for the left.

I did shoot a photo of all six lines side by side (with a ruler?) which
I will http when i get it back. That's the two old lines, plus the
various ones I received along the way to getting it right.

btw, to reiterate, no hassle with GPR on this, I wasn't charged any
extra for the later shipments (though there was a bit of a wait since
they were coming across the US from CA), I did have to send back the
"wrong" lines, but I was trusted implicitly to do this whenever I got
around to it.

Oh yeah, so now with s/s lines and all new rear brakes I can report, not
much change (most of the brakes were already rebuilt, fluid flushed,
etc, before) but there is a slightly more detailed pedal feel - I can
tell there is a tiny warp in my rotors that I couldn't feel before!
