I don't know of a simple way to tell whether Pentosin 7.1 or 11S is in the
system. However, the consensus here (qlist and 200q20Vlist) seems to be
that Pentosin 11S is what *ought* to have been in the system, so why not go
ahead and use it? If the system has been "contaminated" by Pentosin 7.1
then it's not likely you'll do more harm by topping up with the 11S now.
Even though the Pentosin 11S label says not to mix the two kinds, it's
clear that Audi has no problem with permitting 11S to be added to systems
that initially were filled with 7.1.

In your situation, I'd use 11S. As a matter of fact, I'm in your situation
right now and that's what I'm doing.
